The mountains around Chamonix are commonly known as the 'biggest playground in the world' - summer and winter - and so what better place to indulge in some serious fun?
Within hours of landing at Geneva, the group had crossed the border into Italy via the Mont Blanc tunnel, rafted down one of the most famous and beautiful rafting routes in the Alps and, then, were flown by helicopter back to Chamonix.
The adrenalin rush had just begun. The second day saw them launching themselves off a 2000 metre-high mountain and parapenting back down into the heart of Chamonix. A quick and effective way of getting back in time for lunch! They left the restaurant as speedily – on a zipwire through a waterfall and that afternoon they descended the mountain via river: abseiling down waterfalls, sliding down rocks and jumping into frothing pools of whitewater – ‘canyoning’ to those in the know. Finally they returned to Chamonix on mountain bike, taking in one of the most breathtaking rides in the valley.
